An Easy Diet or a Simple Diet?

The midnight television infomercials are littered with all sorts of promises about an easy diet that works with a magic pill or a miracle machine which requires little to no effort on your part. Let’s just be completely honest here and admit if you haven’t figured it out by now, you probably never will, there are no easy diets. I’m sorry! If you came here looking for a quick and easy solution to diet struggles, I don’t have the answer for you. But, I can give you some simple weight loss tips you can incorporate that will help you reach your goal with a bit less struggle.
It’s simple math, you need to consume less or burn more calories than you have been up to this point. That’s incredibly simple but it’s often not very easy. If you’re current lifestyle is burning about 1200 calories per day, you’re not going to lose weight until you reduce your daily intake to less than 1200 calories.
If you insist there is no possible way for you to decrease your caloric intake and still have the energy you need to make it through the day, then you need to increase the amount of calories you’re burning. If you don’t think that’s possible then, there’s nothing else for you to do than resign yourself to being overweight. No magic pills, no mystery machines will overcome this reality of weight loss.
It really is that simple, but not that easy. I don’t want to come off cold or callous, but I know there’s an entire industry built on false promises to sucker lazy people out of their hard earned money. Consume fewer calories each day or increase the number of calories you’re burning. Now, if you want to really kick things into high gear and see the weight shed off of you, combine both of these items.
Of course, if you do the inverse of this, increasing your calories and decreasing what you’re burning, you’re going to be left much heavier than you are right now. Ok, wasn’t that easy, er, I mean simple?
