If you are living with chronic pain in your back or have any type of health condition that you’ve had for a long time, then you owe it to yourself to learn a way of getting your life back. The traditional approaches offered in our country and in the Western medical system itself – drugs, physical therapy, surgery – often do not address the underlying causes of your pain. Chiropractic is an often under-rated or poorly understood form of healing that has been around for many years. Hopefully, this article will open up some avenues of understanding for you.
Chiropractic was discovered/developed in 1895 and is based upon the idea that there is a flow of information between the brain and body. This information in the form of your life force, innate intelligence or nerve flow is transmitted via the nervous system in your body. When this flow is restricted, it can cause problems in your body. There are vital messages that must be received and sent. When there is interference or disturbance to this flow, via distortion, compression or tension, your body suffers the consequences.
Stress is one of the biggest buzzwords in our culture in the health care arena, has been for quite some time. The only problem is that we don’t really completely understand how it is that stress affects health. We know it does, but we are unclear on its exact mechanism. There are some approaches that are working to affect changes in our body’s ability to adapt to stress and tension that lead to the sorts of health conditions, back pains and the other symptoms we’ve talked about.
Some approaches that are on the forefront of this kind of thinking in their field are turning a lot of heads and gaining serious attention. One approach within the chiropractic community is Network Chiropractic. There are other approaches, too, like acupuncture, that have been around thousands of years.
Since Network Chiropractic address many of the underlying factors of dis-ease; physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, it is likely that you’ll find some relief if you give it a chance. There are always more factors affecting our health and well being than at first blush.
