We spent the day enjoying music and culture at the African American Festival in Baltimore, Maryland. It was a hot day but we had a good time. It’s an annual event that’s a great outing for the whole family. There were plenty of health and wellness vendors on hand with fitness activities for the children, health screenings, cooking demonstrations and more. It was hot so if you plan to attend be sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen, wear a cap or bring an umbrella to protect yourself from the sun. You’ll want to bring a lawn chair to sit out and watch the performances by local performers and nationally known recording artists. This year Fantasia and Patti Labelle performed. Admission is FREE but be prepared to pay for parking.
