It’s recommended that we consume at least 8 glasses of water per day. For those of us trying to lose weight consuming at least 1/2 our body weight in ounces of water is recommended. For most of us, it’s easier said than done. Some of us don’t like water and for those of us who do we miss the taste of traditional drinks. Fruit and vegetable infused water is a great way to get the health benefits of water while getting the taste of traditional drinks without the sugar and additives.
Infused water can be made in a few different ways, but the most common is simply steeping the flavor source in the water for a few hours before drinking. Flavor sources can be anything from the rinds of fresh fruit or slices of fruit to chopped herbs. The flavor of the fruit or vegetable seeps into the water and gives it a pleasant taste without boosting the calories.

P.S.: Another fantastic way to add flavor to your water is by using essential oils. Essential oils are the lifeblood of the plant and provide an abundance of benefits to support wellness head to toe. Young Living’s Vitality dietary supplements are the only essential oils that I recommend to ingest because of the excellence in how they are processed. You can even cook with essential oils.
